GARRY’S MOD OVERVIEW

Garry’s Mod is a free-roaming sandbox game developed by Facepunch Studios. Well known for online-game play, Garry’s Mod (gmod for short) first started as a sandbox mode by using a modified version of Valve’s Source Engine and wasn’t considered a full on game. Orginally, gmod was a mod for the well known game Half Life 2, then later converted into a standalone game.  In Garry’s Mod, You have the option to choose between single and multiplayer mode. There is no predetermined objective. Gmod is what you make of it. You have the ability to add enemies guarding a target that you need to collect and escape with; you can build your own designed area over a pre-existing map; or you can join a RP (Role-playing) server and have fun messing and building with others.

1. Click the Download button or the logo below and you should be redirected to MEGA.
2. Click Download through your web browser or Download with MEGASync to start your download. (For web browser downloading, you should use chrome and have the MEGA extension installed, which you can get here).
3. Once Garry’s Mod 14 is done downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Garry’s Mod 14” (To do this you must have WinRAR, which you can get here).
4. Double click inside the folder & run the setup.
5. Follow through the setup and let the game install.
6. Double click on “Update Garry’s Mod” on desktop and let the game update.
7. Click “Check files” then “patch” and let garry’s mod update. (you will see a blue command box with green letters updating the game. Do not close this box and wait for the update to finish).
8. Garry’s mod will automatically start after the update has been finished. Play on ‘Servers’ or ‘Start new game’ but do not play on ‘Find multiplayer Game’
9. If your playing on servers, select a server and wait for it to load (load times can take very long so be patient)
10. Have fun & play!
